~ your aerial arts instructor ~
Brittany Paul is an aerialist, "circus practitioner" and advocate for high-quality, interdisciplinary circus arts performance and education in Northwest Arkansas. Before taking up aerial silks as a hobby in 2011, she was an avid rock-climber and already passionate about becoming a teacher. She completed 200hrs of YTT in 2012 and began teaching at Yoga Deza in Fayetteville, AR - yoga, indoor bouldering and aerial arts. As the type of movement she taught became more complex, she found her talent for articulating these complexities to beginners. In 2016, she trained for a year at Urban Circus NYC in Brooklyn, NY under the guidance of Kaitlin Chin, Marcus Anthony and Megumi Yamada. For over a decade, she has studied, performed and taught the art of aerial acrobatics. Brittany is currently enrolled in the Master of Art Education degree program at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where she will be developing curriculum and conducting studies on the positive effects of circus arts in K-12 programming.
