Ozark Cirque, LLC was founded by Brittany Paul in 2022 as a rebranding of Nimbus Circus and a continuation of advocating for the expansion of circus arts in NW Arkansas.
Nimbus was co-founded in 2012 by Brittany and Shannon Wallace-Norman. Shannon introduced Brittany to Institute of Jugglology and their weekly juggling club meetings, where they would train together and review material Shannon had learned from training in Santa Rosa, CA. Brittany was already teaching yoga and indoor bouldering at Yoga Deza in Fayetteville, AR - why not add aerial dance? It became the first aerial movement curriculum in Arkansas - eventually adding more levels of training, students, showcases and instructors with more experience.
Performances resulted in a growing interest and unification of regional circus artists - adding to the variety of disciplines and enjoyment of collaboration. Nimbus dissolved in 2017 for various reasons but it forever remains in the hearts of many and is the beginning of many a circus journey <3
Ozark Cirque Collective seeks to bring high-quality circus arts education and production services to Northwest Arkansas. We are also developing a branch of our organization that will specialize in community outreach, re-framing the ways in which circus is presented within NWA and offering resources/opportunity for those interested in the emerging fields of recreational therapies and "social circus."
